DOREEN CHILA-Jones, LCSW

Doreen Chila-Jones, LCSW (she/her) is a cisgender Lesbian-identified clinician who specializes in working with children, adolescents and young adults who are exploring their gender and sexual identity as well as facing other mental health such as depression, anxiety, school stress and family discord, and identity concerns like adoption, racial identity and multiracial families. Her therapeutic style is relational and engaged, allowing young people to feel at ease and understood. Doreen received her MSW from Rutgers University, completing an additional specialization in Promoting Child and Adolescent Wellbeing. In addition, Doreen and her wife are licensed foster parents and proud parents to three children adopted through DCP&P.  

kels savage, lsw

Kels Savage, LSW (she/her)  is a white, cis-woman and Queer therapist and social worker. Coming from a teen experience of homelessness due to her Queer identity, Kels embarked on a path to become the person she needed in her youth and has worked with LGBTQIA+ youth since 2016. Kels is a graduate of Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College, CUNY. She is also an artist and activist who has experience working with LGBTQ young people in school and community settings. In addition to clinical work, she has provided trainings on creating supportive and affirming environments for teachers, parents and administrators of New York and New Jersey school districts.

 
 

SCOUT BRUHN, LSW

Scout Bruhn, LSW (they/them), is a nonbinary and queer clinician who seeks to co-create affirming spaces where young people can feel seen, understood, and empowered to explore who they are. Scout works with children and adolescents navigating anxiety, depression, school stress, emotional regulation, peer conflict, family challenges, and questions of identity and belonging. They understand the importance of having safe, supportive adults to turn to during times of questioning and growth and bring a creative and playful approach to their work. Scout received their MSW from Montclair State University. In addition to their clinical work in school and early childhood settings, they are involved in research and advocacy focused on LGBTQ+ mental health, including work on barriers to care for LGBTQ+ survivors of intimate partner violence and microaggressions experienced by LGBTQ+ parents of color.
